Understanding the Closing Disclosure

In the past when selling or purchasing real estate, the Seller and the Buyer received a HUD-1 Settlement Statement. Beginning Ocotber 2015, that document is replaced with the Closing Disclosure. Buyers must receive the Closing Disclosure three days before they can sign their mortgage documents.
